Chateau de Planque    
We visited this chateau many times in the 80's and brought reasonable vin rouge and good vin blanc sec back to the Netherlands. We served it on our marriage.

30 years ago the chateau was empty because the family found it to expensive to live in. Today it is rented. The Meslon family lives in the farm house on the property

The wine   
Family Wine - Chateau Des Planques The wine comes in 5 favours:

• Vin rouge
• Vin blanc sec
• Vin Blanc Montbazilac (sweet)
• Champagnoise
• Rose

The property is now owned by the Meslon family who produces the wine under the name De Planque. Besides the name there is no relation with the family. Because we like the wine we do visit the location once in a while.

We then take as much of wine that our car can carry. Rouge, Blanc sec and Champagnoise. The qualitiy is good. Only the qualitiy of the red wine is dependent of the season. Mostly it is good, sometimes very good. The white wine is always good with a constant quality

Route   
The Meslon property lies on the route nationale 9 south of Bergerac. After 9 km it can be found on the left. It has a view on the Montbazillac castle
